Previous
versions of NetNow and other e-mail products can be used by unauthorised
people to send large amounts of e-mail around the world. This new
functionality ensures that abuse of the NetNow server is kept to
a minimum, and will reject a greater number of messages that previously
would have been accepted. |
| |
Network
administrators now have greater control over the content of messages
and web browsing. The new Content barring feature allows administrators
to restrict access to e-mails, and web sites dependent on the content,
or keywords. |
| |
NetNow
users with NT Domains can setup User accounts. This way you authorise
user passwords via the NT user account, and do not need to maintain
separate passwords for NetNow users and NT user accounts. |
| |
NetNow!
is designed to be equally useful in both single-user and multi-user
environments. Multi-user features include periodic accounting, and
imposing limits on the use of user's mail slots (such as volume
and quantity of mail). The accounting reports can be posted automatically
to the administrators. and users can be warned when they approach
their limits. |
| |
NetNow!
provides a network firewall with both inclusive and exclusive access
for machines. This degree of security can be individually configured
for each of NetNow!'s services. You can easily prevent mail attacks
by refusing to accept messages that are over a specified size. This
can be applied to messages received from your service provider in
such a way as not to interfere with legitimate messages. |
| |
Most
of NetNow!'s templates (automatic messages such as welcome messages
to mailing lists, and delivery failure reports) can be easily customised.
Templates make use of the powerful scripting language built in to
NetNow!. Scripts can also be used separately, both scheduled and
triggered by messages and system events. |
